    Common assumptions about horsey people...

Drs assume you won’t follow their instructions. was told by Dr when I broke my wrist not to muck out, not to ride for several weeks. Then he said, people like you never do what they are told. Then when he discharged me he told me I should have physio but thought I probably would just get on with...

    Tracing a Horse (I wish I bought but didn't)

I would try and forget about this horse and concentrate on finding a horse you can buy and enjoy. You dont know a lot about the horse you didn’t buy, she may not have been right for you. Look forwards, not backwards.

My farrier is over an hour from me. Last time I had a lost shoe I messaged him on Sunday and he came out 8am Monday morning.

    Cooking for your dog

I used to cook for my Lurcher, she had an auto-Immune disease, one of the signs was anorexia, so I wanted her to eat well. I was advised that she probably would not tolerate a raw diet. So I cooked. Chicken pieces or a whole chicken. Chicken livers Sainsburys used to do (May still do) a huge...

    Weird habits

Another weird sighthound. Brindle Lurcher doesn’t like water but on a hot day will find a muddy puddle, lie down in it, get up, wee in the puddle and then have a drink. Always in that order!

    Horse in field next door

I had a similar situation when I went to a camp. My pony was stabled in an American barn with a narrow corridor and stables either side. I had to walk my pony past two very large horses who reached out to bite him the first time we walked past. I got hold of a lunge whip and flicked it at them...

The coronation carriage, isn't this a bit excessive?

@Cortez you are fortunate to live in a republic. Apparently all other European monarchs manage without a coronation.

    Vent!!!!!

The OP is not selling horse for $1 dollar. She offered to sell to her friend, who refused, for $1. I assume the sale she is making is at full price, so I d9nt think that is the issue.

    Hounds that pinch

Lurcher and Saluki too many food thefts to mention. Previous Lurcher nearly set the house on fire - she always walked over the kitchen worktops so no food left out. But I had left the kettle on the induction hob. I came home to hear the kettle whistling and kitchen full of steam. She had...

    What Ever

As you have already spoken to a lawyer and given her all the details I would get her to write a letter setting this out and asking for your deposit and notice period money back. I don’t think you will get it but you might actually get through to the yard owner that this is a real issue and a...
