Weird habits

My lurcher often chooses to lay like this, with her front legs tucked over her ears.

She has always done it so I dont suppose it's any concern.

Do your dogs have any weird habits?

Gixx puts her paw over her nose all the time, she also has to be pressed against you all the time and get all the blankets down all the time or squeeze herself onto the tiny bean cube

Probably not unusual for a pointy dog because sleeping in strange and seemingly uncomfortable configurations seems to be their thing...

She has also got in the habit of absolutely flying back into the house and upstairs after her morning garden business. As far as I can tell it's raw enthusiasm for...going back to bed!

We have a young GSD bitch who likes to wee in the middle of big puddles. I've never had a dog do that before (although we've nearly always had boys) and wondered if it was a normal thing.

Yep, my wierdo above does that too! I'm not sure that makes it a normal thing, but at least you're not alone

We have a young GSD bitch who likes to wee in the middle of big puddles. I've never had a dog do that before (although we've nearly always had boys) and wondered if it was a normal thing.

Another weird sighthound. Brindle Lurcher doesn’t like water but on a hot day will find a muddy puddle, lie down in it, get up, wee in the puddle and then have a drink. Always in that order!
