They could be or it could also be a reaction from the cling film. Grey horses with pink skin also tend to be more sensitive. Another possibility is that they are wind galls but weren’t as big before and you’ve not noticed them. If he’s been on box rest that can also cause wind galls to enlarge.

Thanks. I’ve sprayed a ton of deet on him especially on his belly and taken his fly rug off cos he hadn’t worn one all last summer and everything was fine. So fingers crossed he’ll still be ok tomorrow morning.

I would say he had about 10-15 larger lumps and several smaller ones between them. The area most affected was along his girth line. But the larger lumps were more towards the outside of his belly and the smaller lumps around the middle.
