It's all just came to me at 2am, like when you're trying to think of a word and then suddenly shout it at someone unsuspecting because you've suddenly remembered said word.
I thought my mare was just quirky with her back legs. Dodgy about fetlocks being touched, not to the point of kicking...
Oh Jesus Christ.
OP you sound like a total eejit to put it politely. You seem to have very, very little experience at all. How much a horse eats hay isn't a sign of settling in, it's a sign of a horse being a horse. You seem to be avoiding any reasonable question, so that just gives more flame...
To take CC round Intermediate Novice eventing. She has the talent but I don't have the ability to ride the dressage test or the money to get us there.
I'd love to get a foal out of her when she's in her mid-teens (14 or so) and more toward the end of her eventing career but again money is an issue.
Ignore the fact I definitely totally didn't get your name wrong in that silly post Ycbm, I think there was definitely more than a little of something in my hot choc! I'll be off hiding for eternity for my renaming of you :O
Get a fast metabolism- I can eat whatever I please and sit around all day yet still manage to be hardly anything ;)
On a less lucky note, to actually stay fit I do quite a bit of running and ab based work exercises. Alongside that I'm not able to drive and 'Mum's Taxi' can only take my "lazy...
You sound a very sensible girl, and like others are saying I don't think you're ready. Once you do a few own a pony days and stuff you may be able to try a loan pony for a short time. The easter holidays I think would be ideal, it's a short time but not too short. Don't worry about your height...
This year has been CC's best year. I got the balls to pop her over 1.15m and 1.20m which she cleared like it was nothing and I plan to do it more once she's fit. She's been over 1.30/1.40m loose which made my mum and me cry. We've hacked up a main road next to huge lorries whilst I'm day...
I'd say follow your heart.
Before I got CC I was looking for a 16-18hh, 12-20-year-old gelding, gentleman sensible type, preferably of the lighter type (no cobs!), that was semi-retired to hack and let live out in a nice paddock till I was ready to fully stop riding in which the horse would...
Oh my goodness me, this thead, this blimmin thread
Apart from the fact it's definitely not defamation, seller please do go retrieve your head, you're someone who sells things on eBay you're not anything to care about. A total percentage of 0% people (that is the stats from a maths major...
I'm dreading looking for a jumping saddle for CC, she's built like a Connie when she's fit and it's a pain to even find something to fit when she's fat. Saying I'm cheapo about saddles (still looking at a way to engineer a saddle from duck tape and baling twine  ) is an understatement so...
CC chases the Sky vans. She puts everything in her gob as well (if she can't eat it she's not trying hard enough!). I nearly died the other day when she lunged for some plants owned by the family who have a little cottage next to the tack room. She didn't go for the plants, no, she went for the...
She'll try her heart out when she wants to but on her cheeky days she's a bum. I love Welshies all told, if I ever had to get another it'd definitely be a Welsh. Very intelligent breed, some of them are too intelligent for their own good at times however! But they are triers, and they'll go to...
