Travelling - Which way to face?

Hi all, I'm looking at buying my first lorry but there's so many different options that it's a bit overwhelming. Do people prefer horses to face backwards, front or sideways? My horse was delivered to me in a trailer but I've taken him out rear-facing in a box and he seemed okay. Also any other...

Best cut away headpiece on a dressage bridle

Hi all, I'm currently looking at the PS of Sweden bridles as my current bridle is causing my horse to be tight and sore through his poll but the price of them makes my eyes water. Are there any similar that people recommend? Needs to be a crank flash bridle. Thanks!

Breaking a pony to drive - advice on where to start?

I'm definitely going to be getting a professional involved, I wouldn't have tried to back a pony when I'd never had a riding lesson so I won't be breaking a pony to drive on my own when I have no experience haha. Sadly there's just no possible way of sending him away, he gets very stressed and...

Breaking a pony to drive - advice on where to start?

Thanks, that was the general idea I was thinking. My uncle has had a lot of driving horses and used to do some showing so was doing to pick his brains. He's great with voice control, the only issue I have is that I cant find a bit that he will happily accept so want to get something he's happy...

Breaking a pony to drive - advice on where to start?

Hi all, I have a 13.2 cob who is sadly getting fat currently, he's too small to be ridden by me and too green for a child so in order to shift some weight off him I've been thinking about breaking him to drive. He is totally bombproof, nothing really phases him and I'm starting to long line him...

Dressage girth dilemma - best girth?

Thanks for your reply! Do you find either of them rub? My horse is sensitive so was looking at getting a sheepskin cover anyway. Do you prefer the prolite or the Fairfax?

Dressage girth dilemma - best girth?

Just done a quick google, are the prolite girths the exact same? Seems as though the Fairfax is lined with prolite anyway but a big difference in price.

Dressage girth dilemma - best girth?

Thanks for your reply! I've found my girth can sometimes slip back so was hoping how the Fairfax is shaped would help stop this. I'm fairly sure my horse isn't a narrow because I can get a sweat scraper between his front legs?

Dressage girth dilemma - best girth?

Hi all, I'm looking for a dressage girth. Needs to be really good quality soft leather or have a sheepskin cover available to buy. I've been looking at either the Stubben Equi Soft or Fairfax. I've currently got a PDS relief dressage girth but it rubs and I can't find a cover for it. I've got a...
