    usa whine....

Dont people do some sort of house sharing? or we can do our own horsey reality TV show where we swap people from different countries and disciplines.

    usa whine....

Really wishing I lived in the UK/surrounding areas right now. After 20 years of Quarter Horses, I am really wanting a big, hairy, crossbred beastie to hack, low level show and maybe drive. but they cost an arm and a leg over here! Anyone want to adopt me?

    Silly question.....colors on a chestnut

Green was my old go to for the redheads Ive had. Being from a police family....I'm on a "thin blue line" kick, hence the black with the blue stripe overlay. If I chicken out of it I will probably just go with a brown leather lookalike (what I'm ordering is beta biothane)

    Silly question.....colors on a chestnut

Silly pointless question. Buying my boy a new halter. He is chestnut with a big white blaze. I was thinking of a black halter with a dark ish royal blue overlay. Would that completely clash? Anyone done black and blue on their pumpkin colored horses? Love to see photos if you have them...

    Winter is coming....

We have an outdoor school. It's about the size I can do a 20 meter circle in, but is sloped and uneven, definitely not professionally constructed. No floodlights though, either. Perhaps we will just have to park the car near the area with headlights on and try for 20 to 30 minutes of light...

    Winter is coming....

......and for the first time in my 18 years of riding, I don't have access to an indoor. My gelding was in fairly consistent work from January to August (at which time due to employment his work dropped off to the odd day hacking here and there) , did a hunter pace and a combined test this...

    Warm knee

I've been watching Titan's knee for a month. We were hauling home from a ride at the end of May and blew a tire on the trailer. The tire was changed and we arrived home. Checked horse over, and he had no marks on him and trotted up sound. The next day he was chiropracted. He was very...

    Shameless brag...Titan's first show

Thanks everyone. He is such a fun horse. Small successes mean a lot to me since ive put all but his first 30 days of riding on him. We are going slow mainly because I dobt want to sour him or hurt him in any way. We are aiming for our first horse trial in the late summer/fall at starter...

    Shameless brag...Titan's first show

My 4 year old, Titan, had his first horse show this weekend. We did a combined test at a 'green as grass' (usdf intro c, and 2 foot jumps) level, and won on a dressage score of 27. So proud of how quiet he was given the weather (cool and windy) and atmosphere, with tents near the trailers (not...

    Show shirt designs

Probably the one to the right with the grey silhouette side panels is my favorite.

    homemade liniment

I was wondering if anyone has ever made their own herbal liniment. I realize that most storebought concoctions really just tingle for a brief time and the most important factor is cooling legs down after work to prevent tendon injuries. I love the sore no more products...but they are...

    Mane Pulling Question

My geldings mane has never been cut. He's two and a half. As a 'going to be' hunter horse, he of course has to have it pulled and shortened. I've always been taught to use the dreaded scissors and blunt it off :eek3::eek3: So, how do you go about shortening a long mane without blunting it...

    New horse, New name.....

Your mare is gorgeous! I wish mine had color, but alas, I've an orange beast. (After swearing to never have an orange one again LOL) I think we're going to try to get "Mr Titanium" which keeps Titan in the mix, as well as my mom's nickname for him, Mr T.

    New horse, New name.....

Yes, that was read correctly, and I know it's a much less popular choice across the pond than it is here in the States. But he's lightly ridden for no more than 30 minutes at a time, mostly walk with a short trot tossed in, about three days a week. His workload is certainly lighter than most...
