Hi Sweetwilliam22, I also bought the FreshaTrough last year, that works really well, I have had no algae or gnats etc in the water. I did use the discs first and I felt that they did help a little, but I have found the trough to be a permanent solution. I would be interested to know your thoughts.

I have found a good product and I also use it when surfing called Rash Guard it is designed to stop sweat/salt rash from wetsuits, i bought mine from a surfing shop and it works well on sweat itch. Not cheap though about £9 for 100ml but more waterproof and longer lasting than sudocreme...

I have tried it and have been quite impressed, considering you don't need chemicals :). The water has definitely stayed cleaner. I contacted the manufacturer because I did have some algae but I was told that algae is so prolific in the hot weather that it would clear, but it would take time...
