Hi, my horse is currently lame bless him, he has been diagnosed with kissing spines but there is also a secondary hind limb lameness going on. We were due to go to bone scan a week ago but it was deferred as he improved quite a lot so.... we are now on a month of bute and light work and the vet...
I am also an older rider and have to say, I feel happier when I'm wearing it as despite the fact I now defo have more "natural" padding, you definately don't bounce as well the older you get! Have to agree to with the fact that they make you more determined to stay on as well, I think I ride...

Northdowns, see Speedgate website for details, £110 a year, loads of parking, superb hacking and cross country jumps dotted about. I've been a member for about 7 years now and use it at least once a month, sometimes more.
Purchased one of Ebay a few days ago and am really pleased so far. We have problems with our numnah disappearing out from under the saddle, usually use impakt pads which are now as rare as rocking horse poo, tried grip pad (still slip eventually), tried nuumed new anti slip one, good but nearly...
I have the Rhino med turnout combo and Rhino med stable rug with detachable neck and use the rambo liners between them. Fab concept and really like both rugs and the liners, don't find the turnout rug as generously cut as the stable rug though
