Where to sell second hand items?

Thanks all. I've gone down the ebay route as I had that same 80% off listing fees offer. I did post a few items on fb market place but honesty it wasn't worth the hassle of the time wasters and pointless questions.

Where to sell second hand items?

I didn't think vinted was for horsey items. Boots are cob size rhinegold elite travel boots. Rugs are between 5'9 to 6.

Where to sell second hand items?

I sold lots of items on ebay last year and found bids were low and I was losing a lot of the low sales price to fees. Horsey car boot is a good idea. Will see if any are planned.

Where to sell second hand items?

I have a load of items to sell since my horse was pts. Rugs (most barely used), trickle nets, bits, travel boots etc The horsey Facebook pages in my area are deserted. EBay is expensive - are there any alternatives? I'm donating a lot to a local equine rescue but there are some items I want...

    More price rises!

This is one of the reasons I sadly decided to pts my young, retired horse last month ? She was perfectly happy retired but livery was going up 25%, fuel costs increasing, farrier, mortgage, childcare fees etc - it was getting to the point where we were dipping into savings every month and its...

    Ok

Thank you. I think part of my guilt is due to this option not being more commonly used. I'm trying to reassure myself that the people who I know will judge my decision are the people who would happily pass off their horses to others just to wash their hands of them - or keep clearly lame horses...

    Ok

Thanks everyone. Feeling really teary this morning about it all as it's all sinking in.

    Ok

That makes me so sad ?

    Ok

The logical part of my brain absolutely recognises this - there will just always be a chance that she could have lived happily for many years beyond today. Its the uncertainty that creeps up on me but as you say, she'll know no pain.

    Ok

Thanks for thinking of us. My girl has now crossed rainbow Bridge. The build up of dread all week was far worse than the deed itself. She went stuffed full of treats and none the wiser and I was beside her till the end. I'm feeling a bit sad but also relieved. No doubt I'll go through a mix...

    Planned PTS questions

I see the same individual that derailed my last thread is doing the same here so I've blocked them so I can't see her responses to what was an unhelpful comment in the first place. I'm going to request that this thread is closed if possible to stop it further going off track. Grayshill are...

    Planned PTS questions

I know that is sound logic but ultimately, it's my own failure to be able to care for her long term that is the primary driver - if I had more time/more money/made more sacrifices she could live a long, comfortable life.

    Planned PTS questions

She does have issues that make her unrideable but she seems field sound which is what makes it harder. Over time though I suspect it along with her poor conformation will cause more issues.

    Planned PTS questions

It's really not nice. I always assumed I'd only pts when the horse needed it not because if financial and other circumstances. It's gotten to the point thought where u was actually hoping for her lameness to get worse so that I could justify the decision which would be more unfair on her.

    Planned PTS questions

We're booked in for Friday afternoon. It's a strange feeling - a mix of dread and sadness combined with relief that I won't have to worry about her anymore.
