Hi guys,
I have been advised by my vet that my current passport does not conform!
It doesnt have the section in it that provides medicine details. i.e., for the food chain etc.
It was issued by the Irish PC and I have come to the end of the road trying to seek out who i should contact...

2 days hot poultice - maximum. You run the risk of compromising the hoof by doing it any longer. After that use cold poltice's to keep it clean.

Hey guys - just wanted to update you all. Vet came back out Friday night and inspected foot etc. Also did tight turn walks and on the straight too. Vet is pleased with progress and advised that being pain killer free he would have shown signs of pain with the tight turns that he was doing if...
Thats encouraging then. Wish my Farrier had said that to me.
The vert has advised me that it can also mean that it is pus thats been in there a long time.
How long should you tend to use this for? I have been advised to spray on area, fill hole with cotton wool, spray again then vet wrap it - once a day for 2 days. Trouble is - I am now thinking - ok what do i do over the weekend - leave the area just vet wrapped (no shoe on you see and still...

Purple spray is normally used for drying things up and preventing infection, so would be surprised if it were used to release an abcess, more clearing it up once it had come out. Are they still thinking abcess rather than pedal bone fracture?

There is certainly pus...
I have been told to use purple spray on the wounds dug to release an abcess. Farrier told me to get the aerosol rather than the pump - think purely because its easier to direct.
Just wondered what your experience with this was and what exactly purple spray is good for.
