Are there any schooling exercises that can help achieve/work towards a more balanced and relaxed canter? I have a horse who can be speedy and rush the canter. Every now and again we get a couple of lovely strides of canter, but what can I do to make the canter become more consistent?

I really like the Eland Lodge XC Course. I introduced my two ponies to cross country there and they have both really enjoyed their outings. Speetley is a nice venue too :)
I use my air jacket daily, however for cross country I use my air jacket with a racesafe body protector underneath (but it can be any level 3 body protector).
However, I check with show centres as to what they would prefer me to wear.
Obviously, wearing a body protector and an air jacket on...
