Any experiences with ankle fusion? (Human not horse)

I'm afraid I don't have a huge amount of information on the replacements other than the fact that they are newly available and just starting to be used in a handful of patients under the NHS. I don't think they are total joint yet though (I do stand to be corrected!). Thank you for your...

Any experiences with ankle fusion? (Human not horse)

I will be watching this with interest as my consultant has also suggested this for me and I am hesitant too. There are now ankle replacement ops being done which was another option for me - has this been suggested for you?

    Pulled tails - Tail Rakes?

I use scissors and the disposable razor thingies to get the pulled tail look as I've another that won't 'do' pulling... and I show... although it is maintained all year round so possibly easier to do as its always just a case of tidying up.

    Showing people

Riding horse for sure, but if local then you'd get away with light hunter as well I'd have thought. Have fun :)

    RHS workers. Advice please

Ride judges 'should' on the whole be fairly quiet riders (the idea being that a show horse should be mannerly and well schooled enough to not need riding so much as piloting if that makes sense?). If you go clear why not go back in to the showing section and watch how the judge rides others...

Hello! and bit / tongue help please?

I was kind of thinking that her tongue must go numb so she can't get a normal feel from the bit allowing or encouraging more leaning... Or she may just like it as you say! I haven't found a waterford mouth with liverpool shanks - my next move was going to be a sam marsh mouth piece (maybe) or...

Hello! and bit / tongue help please?

I have to admitt I haven't come across this either. All of her harness (and bit) has been checked for fitting etc. She has always taken a firm contact (both under saddle and ridden) its just recently developed in to 'leaning', and so much so that the last couple of drives have resulted in a...

Hello! and bit / tongue help please?

Hello! I'm a bit of a lurker on here - although this isn't strictly competition related I'd really appreciate your ideas. Has anyone had / come across a horse that leans on to the bit and bridle to the extent that the tongue discolours? How have you / would you manage this? There are no...

Why do People Not want to own Hackneys?

I am struggling to find another too - they are certainly marmite breeds (very good expression)! There seems to be a complete lack of breeders / hackney (or hackney x's) in east anglia which is a shame!

    Lesson on a SJ schoolmaster....

I've been looking for this in East Anglia too - dressage seem to be easier to find!
