Thanks for your responses- all seems encouraging so far- I think because of the site of the fracture it wasnt suitable for surgery - if it had been the recovary would have been quicker -hopefully a little more time and luck and things should be ok.
Its a front leg. Vet is coming back in June to re-xray so hopefully will get a bit more of an idea where we are heading. Its encouraging to know that a full recovary is a possibility. Even if she was not going to be able to jump it would certainly not be the end of the world.
That was the advice from the vets/ It does seem like a long time but I don't have any previous experience with splint fractures:o. THey have been following her up with xrays and are optimistic for a "Good" recovary but I'm not sure if that means she will be able to do everything she could...
