White patches / areas in horses eyes????

Hi there, Cant say i know what the white patches are but our pony developed blue patches in his eyes and this turned out to be the classical signs of liver disfunction. Irridology (sp) is a fascinating subject, if you google catherine edwards in surrey she is the lady that gave our pony a...

    Kia Sportage

I have a kia sportage but wouldnt use it for towing a trailer with pony/horse. Think the Sorento is better for that, it had a very good write up and takes 3500 tow weight like the discovery.

    Ideal saddles

Im afraid i am the odd one out lol. Probably just my experience but i have an ideal event saddle which is lovely but i just find the seat too huge for me and i feel very lost in it. Ive only used it a handful of times and now seriously want to sell it on. I'm afraid im an albion convert lol.

Re: She is fading away before my eyes..... A thank you

Hi there, Havn't seen your original post on your mare but would like to say thats a lovely pic of her. Have you tried Triple Top Up (Badminton feeds) it comes in a 5kg tub. I used it on my boy who is very difficult to maintain/gain weight and he is coming on a treat.

    Imprint shoes...

Unfortunately you need new ones each time. My shetland had these for lami (just fronts) at a cost of £100 a pair every 6 weeks (ouch)!!

    Magnetic Boots... recommendations

I use the Equilibrium ones as they can be left on all day or all night - found them very effective on filled legs and also on windgalls too.

    Double clipped front shoes

Thanks K27 must admit I have been thinking along those lines which is why i am very reluctant to change. I am going to say i want to stick to single toe clips as this is what she has had for ages with no problems.

    Richard Maxwell and Loading

No did have a session with Suzanne Marshall though which went really well. About 3 weeks later little mare refused to load again - i went back to the ground work with the dually on and then presented her at the foot of the ramp again - this time she loaded fine. I do find that whenever we load...

    Double clipped front shoes

Ah you may have just answered the problem then. He asked me what i do with her and that is dressage with a bit of jumping. He did say she was a big mare so he would do double clips (she isnt that big to be really honest she is the lighter modern hanoverian) - big boned maybe. He will be...

    Double clipped front shoes

Hmm just seem strange he wants to alter her feet when they are the best they have ever been - its taken us ages to get them to how they are as previously they were unbalanced but are now quite a good pair. Am i being a bit over cautious?

    Double clipped front shoes

Hi there, I have recently changed farriers and was wondering if someone could tell me the pros/cons of shoeing the front feet with double clipped shoes? My mare has only previously had single toe clips but the new farrier wants to change this. Any info appreciated
