I emailed them for the same reason and never got a response!

    Essential book for all owners!

Her book is on my shopping list! She made a terrible mistake that ruined her reputation, but nevertheless I think her work is so important to horse welfare.

    When I’m elected god…

To those worrying about God elections, I believe Terry Pratchett has solved this problem. Gods need belief to exist. Therefore, I am a believer in this marvellous new God and worship at the altar of Blitznbobs!

    Ridiculous horse related injuries…

Not me but a horse trainer I used to trim for. His mare was really snatchy with her feet and would fling the fronts forward. He got kicked in the nuts every single time! I used to tell him there were less painful methods of birth control because I'm dead sympathetic!

Have I lost it or did I give my horse Covid

A horse I know of locally was diagnosed with covid a couple of weeks ago. I didn't get the chance to ask much about it, but I was surprised the vet thought to test for it!

Side saddle, how hard can it be?

I only ride side saddle. Made the switch fir medical reasons about 5 years ago. Finding a saddle to fit you and your horse is the hardest bit (especially when you have a shire). Saddles typically cost £1500-3000 and my girths were £100 each. Check out the side saddle association- they're really...

    Barefoot trimmer/ podiatrist Vs farrier

Nasicus I would say 'if it ain't broke don't fix it'! Loads of farriers, EPs and trimmers out there doing a great job, but everyone has cases where there may be a clash of personalities, and we all have that case that simply benefits from a fresh perspective! In terms of training, it is true...

    Another silly dog thread!

My old Dalmatian x Collie (sorry, I just could never bring myself to call him a Dollie) peed on my ex twice - both times when he had jumped into the river to retrieve Kong toys that Cooper couldn't possibly bring back after taking them in for a swim. To be fair, it was the only nice thing that...

Silliest thing that has made your dog react?

My lurcher x is scared of lambs. And cows. And bangs. Bit of a bugger when they horse's fields back on to a paintball activity centre and there are lambs in the fields on the other side 🙄

    Hoof boots

Flex boots fasten in a similar way to easy boot gloves I believe. You could have a gander at the hoof bootique website to check out how the various boots fasten. Depending on your budget, renegades might be worth looking at too?

What's the naughtiest thing your dog has ever done?

I am so glad this thread has been resurrected as I am going through a very trying phase with my adolescent rescue lurcher x and keep expecting to see posts moaning about us on the irresponsible owners thread 🙈. I am really trying my best but this thread has made me realise that actually things...

    Rescue remedy

Thanks everyone, really useful feedback. It sounds like the response to pet remedy is very individual. I have ordered an adaptil collar. Fingers crossed that helps him.
