I don't have a dog, just cats, ferrets and horses, but I would be wary of leaving any animal unsupervised with a baby. Babies (never had any of them, either) make loud noises, are unpredictable and smell funny, all things that could easily trigger an animal to give an undesirable response.

Saw an advert on an 'off grid living' FB page for someone to live in a horsebox on 25 acres of rewilding land, for the winter. You'll have a kitchen in the horsebox and access to a bathroom (but not in the box itself), no photos of the horsebox as they want to give the inside a lick of paint...
