I used to hack on bridleways and box my horse to Delamere Forest to get off the roads. Now those options are congested with walkers and cyclists and overrun with muppets with dangerous dogs. I'm starting to prefer lanes tbh and I'm glad I have some private land to hack on.
I hope all involved...
Is this a real thing open to the public? Has anyone been? I've never seen it advertised and I can't even remember how I think I know about it. So what's the deal? When, if ever, can you go, and is it worth it?
Thanks
I looked around there once and thought it looked super until a 5 minute chat with the owners. I got a really bad sense of "oh hell no" from them and couldn't get away fast enough.
Can anyone recommend some consistently good quality, reliable hay (small bales unless super reliable at short notice) suppliers who would deliver to Prescot area, please? Had some disappointing stuff the last couple of times. Thanks.
Lol, what's that all about?
I only have limited, almost all tarmac, hacking so if I want to do much more than walk, riding means paying. I've found close outdoor hire for £20 and some pleasure rides are still £13 for members but normally more round about the £20 mark. I spend the money and...
Handheld garmin e-trex on a short cord to a bum bag in case I drop it, and map in a plastic case. Husband has an awesome garmin watch that's really clear if you've gone off route, but they're over £800 😧
Why is it rude not to continue a conversation with someone you don't know, you've made no commitment to and you've decided further communication would be a waste of your time? Are people really offended not to get a "right, thanks, nope it's not what I'm after actually, bye then"? That just...
I feel no obligation to communicate with anyone on the internet any more than I feel like.
I also get irked by the expectation that because you make an enquiry about something for sale you are under some sort of obligation to buy it, you're not.
I don't think it's rude, I think people have...
Tested my new Musto smock at Somerford Winter Farm Ride in light, persistent rain.
The review so far is very positive. Apart from being a bitch to get on (and I did want close fitting so, yeah, a size up would be easier but not so great once on), and having too much thick neoprene on the waist...
Have you got transport? Hire an indoor for a couple of hours? Or if they're non-ridden, take them to your local equivalent to somerford park, leave them in the box with a net and spend a couple of hours in the tack shop and cafe 😀
