Bit of a niche question - I can't find what I want by Googling, and I'm not sure whether it just doesn't exist, or I'm using the wrong terms to search.
I currently have a pair of Shires Compositi English stirrups, with a pair of Shires endurance cages attached. The cages have two bolts that screw through the hole in the base of the stirrup, i.e. where the rubber tread would slot in on old style stirrups.
However - I've swapped my leathers for fenders, and without going into huge detail they don't quite work with my English style stirrups. What I want is a pair of stirrups that I can still attach my cages to, BUT have a single bar at the top for the fenders to loop round - unlike my English stirrups, which have a standard narrow slot for the leathers to thread through.
Any suggestions? Most of the endurance stirrups I've found seem to have a solid base, so the cages won't attach. This surely must be "a thing".....
