Master farrier and vet will be contacted tomorrow morning just to be on safe side but not sure who first. Thing is before I changed farrier he was working on getting her feet a better shape and angle and silly me just assumed new farrier would work the same. Makes sense thinking about it now...
Wait I am crying!!! People came to view Juno again, was a bit off the first time which is unlike her and today tried her on the hard ground and it was so obvious she was lame. Had a poke about and they think its her left front hoof which is horribly shod (didn't even realise or thought to think...
I never got it in the end, I went back two owners who had her in the space of 4 years then to a dodgy dealer who seems to have disappeared off the face of the planet. Got lots of lovely pictures and stories but not what I was looking for. Shame as she is lovely!
My sister was at this circus the other week - said the exact same thing and loved it! Ponies looked healthy and happy, also boycotter there but perhaps not the same one. Bit odd in general really.
I had my first jump on Juno.
And this was her for the majority of today.. :D
Was sitting with her snoring beside me earlier, opened facebook and that popped up to remind me. Made me laugh!
Acavallo gel tail wrap! Only one that stays on my mare as she 'sits' in the trailer and rubs herself raw no matter what she has on. I've had my current one for a year of good use and only now am I thinking of replacing it, could get more uses out of it though. Plus stick it in the washing...
My Juno has had a rotten old day. Sun was shining, birds were singing aaaaand....all her friends are gone! Field mate and next door stable buddy moved yards yesterday which was sad enough, popped her out this morning only for the donkeys in the field beside her to be moved within 15 minutes...
How much would you pay for DIY livery on a small yard (approx 12 boxes with owner onsite), use of 30x50 arena with jumps, separate feed room and tack room, toilet, wash area for both human and horse, choice of 22 acres split into paddocks with all year turnout and offroad hacking around the land...
On average (not including worming/vacs/etc as they're not strictly monthly) about £150. I work in return for shavings and feed so that lowers it quite a bit. I always keep a bit on the side for extras eg transport/goodies but rarely goes past £180 :)
Had such a lovely productive day, up at 7 and out to the horses at 7.30. Mucked out, fed and watered nine ponies and horses, filled nets for dinner and breakfast then chucked out a couple for a kick about in the sun. Took the dog for a walk then out on mine and one of the ponies out for a big...
OP are you not the admin of the page or am I thinking of another member? If so please just remove it, its upsetting to see it continuously bumped up :(
