Yes,she is on prascend and has been for nearly two years, this is my concern really, like you say she should be no more at risk than any other and I have been so careful with her feed, she been in at night since march time cause I was wary of the spring grass shooting through.
Thank you, she is silly though and will stand out in the heat or rain, bless her:) she misses her friend, although I have started bringing him in at night cause he getting rather round and for company for each other. Seems to be trial and error really but it does cost in emotions as well as in...
She is in a bare paddock but its not too big, I try to bring her in if its wet or chilly but she prefers to be out and she can go in if she chooses. It's comforting to know I am not the only one battling with it
Thank you for replies,I am reassured I am not the only one. The vet is my next port of call but I am running out of funds too:( bless her, she can't understand why she can't go out with my other one:( I don't like seeing her in all the time
Hello, I am looking for advice re my cushings pony. She is a welsh section D, 19years old, she was diagnosed cushings 2years ago after a spell of laminitis. She has done well since then and I have managed to avoid laminitis until a few weeks ago. She has been in every night on soaked hay and was...
thank you all. i went up yesterday afternoon to find she was still sweating so been up today and took some more off, with the option of taking more off again should she still be uncomfortable, bless her:) curse cushings:(
i have done it! the weather is lovely here this morning so i bought her in and she has a low trace clip for now, i will see how she gets on - she thoroughly enjoyed being clipped :)
hello, i have a pony with cushings, she is on prascend and is doing very well, however, when i went up yesterday she has been sweating and it was all dry and crusty between her legs and down her chest. she has a very long coat and last spring it took ages for her summer coat to come through...
i have a pony who has cushings, she has one prascend tablet a day hidden in a piece of carrot. i feed her speedibeet, happy hoof and some hi fibre nuts along with her supplements - she has decided she does not like this anymore, she will pick out the pieces of banana i put in the feed and leave...
i have rung the vet and they seem to think its possibly rain scald, i have a medicated shampoo to wash her in 2-3 times a week for next two weeks. my thoughts are its some sort of skin infection, i am sure i have not over rugged her as she is only in 100g rug and does not always feel warm, i was...
thank you for your replies. i can;t not rug her - its too cold at night! yes, it appears to itch her and having looked into it more i am wondering if she has ringworm:( i would love to give her a good bath but again its too cold for this as she lives out, i have clipped a small area today and...
