Hello, I am looking for advice re my cushings pony. She is a welsh section D, 19years old, she was diagnosed cushings 2years ago after a spell of laminitis. She has done well since then and I have managed to avoid laminitis until a few weeks ago. She has been in every night on soaked hay and was out in field during the day, then one night she managed to get out and munch on some long grass
she came straight in until she was sound when I let her back out in the day and she was fine until last week when she got it again, she came in again and when sound I let her out onto a rubbish piece of ground with very little grass, then next day she was quite lame
what do I do? She is still in for now on soaked hay, hi-if lite, high fibre cubes and a small amount of speedibeet. I am afraid to let her out again but I don't want to keep her in 24/7, she won't keep a muzzle on. Any advice appreciated, thank you for reading.
