Absolutely but work means just that! No quiet little trot on the end of a lunge line, rather fast trot on the end of your 6ft lead, that[B] is hard work for the horse.
Timing is everything & the fact he'll go in when it suits means he's not frightened, he's just putting it over you.

Since '66, in my teens :D, & love it! I'm in Victoria at Ballarat which is a very similar climate to Sth. England, imo, bar the few high 30s in Dec (occasional) Jan. & Feb mostly. I've heard to much about the 'itch' & damned ticks (dogs as well) in Q/land & parts of NSW to ever want to live...
