I maybe loopy loo, I agree. I've spoken to midwife and health visitor and they all seem ok, as long as I feel well. We have a backpack with integrated stool which we plan to take so I can sit down when I need to and have looked up nearest maternity unit etc.... So won't be going completely...
I am in a predicament in that I have 2x xc tickets and so looking forward to attending, but am pregnant with my first with due date of 28th July (2days before!). My parents are having the tickets if I really cannot go (I.e in labour or just given birth) otherwise I plan to attend - once in a...
Thanks- pony club maybe a good option for enquiry. I don't think he is the best horse for just hacking- he' s about 80% golden boy and 20% sharp as a razor, so needs someone with some experience and even then won't be the most relaxing of hackers! At home I don't have great facilities- nice yard...
I'm really not sure, I just hope I will be able to give the time to bring him back and fitness to eventing post baby- hence why I am thinking through my options. I love the competing though, so perhaps so kind of share arrangement. I'm really not sure, just want to do the best for him. I know...
Just wondered what options h&h forum users think about for my horse. He is a 16.2hh rising 7 talented boy- breeding includes Jumbo/just Zulu. I have competed him at be100 level last yr and doing well and did well at byeh classes as 4&5yo. Amazing floaty paces and massive scopey jump. Could go a...
I am just costing up my options for the winter, following an injury to my eventer now requiring full box rest and a period of rehabilitation. I am considering putting him into full livery along with his 2yo companion for 6 months, but need to work out what I can afford by renting out my place. I...
Walked round it yesterday and the ground was excellent, really springy and well prepared, couldn't see anywhere that it looked hard! Ground staff looked to have done a 5* job!
I thought he was OK, had 2 clinics with him and he certainly got us working round very tight lines and huge jumps. I thought it was a bit much for a rising 5yo tb type eventer at the time (talking 4' oxer, huge spread down a line), my boy did jump amazingly though and guess it was good...
I'm not going to offer practical advice, but it may help to know about my boy who is of similar breeding to yours. Krug's (my boy) mum would be your mare's full sister (JumboxGraftham society) and on his other side his grandsire is Just Zulu. When I bought Krug he was 2 1/2 unbroken and being...
I've just totted up my average - I have 1 horse which I event (BE90/100) and 1 youngster (NFxTb) on my own land - do not pay rent, but I do have someone help me with mucking out, turnout etc.. 3/4 x week so here we go. Live out 24/7 in summer and in at night in winter, occasional school hire...
£7.50/hour. Usually that is to feed, rug change, turnout and muck out 2 horses. £5 for the same, but excluding the muck out, as I guess it would only take 30mins. Not sure if that is the going rate or not, but I advertised a year ago at £7.50/hour and had a huge response.
Not sure its motivation, but I find its much easier to get out for a ride in the morning when you have a nice dry horse in the stable. I struggle with motivation to collect a wet, muddy horse in from the field!
