i have a foal on antibiotics and painkillers and the vet told me that it was fine to worm it but you should probs check different vets have different opinions. i hope your mare gets better soon

she has severe diaorrea and her bum turns inside out and looks like a huge flower when she is pooing. she will not eat forage she grinds her teeth and licks the walls she has obviously lost a lot of weight and spends alot of time laid down vet came today and gave her some buscapan and flunixon.
my advice would be to get her checked now as you wouldnt want to travel her to a stud if somethig was wrong we had a mare with same symptons last may and she was fine i hope your mare is too.

sounds like a capped hock they can be sore when they are first done and the swelling never goes away unless you give him steroid injections for the rest of his days
