Basically it means he is more stocky...loads of people think he is a cob! he is very chunky with loads of bone - ill get some pics up soon - when i first met him i was like 'no way that horse went to hickstead' but then me and my mate loose jumped him 1.50 m and he trotted up to it!!

Can;t really help you that much as i am no expert but yes, vaseline is said to be good (well i got told that in pony club anyway) and it may be best just to see your horses reaction to the snow first in-hand?
