Protexin supplement - how much should be given per month?!

I know, why do people have to make life difficult, if we worked together it would all be fine! I feel they have no respect for the owners, in fact they seem resentful of my presence/involvement but I always thought they had the best interests of the horses at heart.

Protexin supplement - how much should be given per month?!

Yes I will be careful not to be perceived as a troublemaker and will ask casually 'what' and 'why' they are giving him as a supplement, but I think at the very least someone should have mentioned it! Can't help but think these sudden additional costs are sour grapes. In the two years we've...

Thanks for your reply, yes that's what I thought, must be overdosing him to cost that much for one month!!! Taking the p**** alright!!!

Protexin supplement - how much should be given per month?!

Hi all - I have just been invoiced £96.00 by my yard for my horse receiving a Protexin supplement for one month - just how much have they been giving him?!! He is in working livery, and I put up a previous post to ask if they were working him too much, I have had a straight talk with...

To move or not to move

Hi, I would move her, you'll both adjust and it sounds like a more laid back place with better hacking! I still really miss my boy's first home as I became good friends with the YO and at my current yard they aren't half as friendly. However, I would never take him back as present yard is run...

    Working livery...

Thanks, I will be watching the work load carefully and good advice to pop in unexpectedly (which have done on a whim many a time). I won't carry on with WL and am looking for solutions as we speak!

video - country lane road rage car/horse

This poor rider and her horse, where could she have got over to, in the hedge? I live where the lanes are so long and narrow, it can take what seems an age to pass the girls on their horses, but do you what, I wait until there is a safe place for them to get over! Yes sometimes I'm in a hurry...

    Working livery...

He's 10yrs now, pretty much at his prime - he was bred as a sport horse from a Belgian sj champion's stables and is energetic and strong - he is a lot of horse to handle if not tacked up/ridden regularly - he can get bolshie and broke my index finger by ripping the bridle out of my hand when I...

    Working livery...

YM is being very willing to listen to what I want but I have lost confidence in them now as I think under pressure they sometimes don't make the right decisions - they'd rather use a tired horse than turn a customer away!

    He's seventeen and a half!

    Working livery...

Yes the contract states that he will work a maximum of 10hrs per week which includes my 3 visits - I let them know when I want to ride and they log it on their system and work around that. The problem of recent is how they are managing his working hours - some days he isn't used but then had...

    Working livery...

Yes he is a lovely horse, too compliant but I trusted them to not take advantage of this! I have emailed the yard manager stating my concerns and this was her reply; "The amount of work all the horses do is monitored very careful. Texas this week has worked 10 hours this week including...

    Working livery...

Yes, they've agreed to not use him on a Saturday now - it was the back to back jumping that I found hard to accept as I think that he works hard enough for them during the week - just a shame I've had to fall out with them over it! I had spoken to the college director last month and she agreed...
