I use it on my spooky boy. He's ulcer prone and I like the fact it settles their digestive system, which in turn makes him more settled. I ran out a while ago and you can definitely see the difference!!!
I soak it in water over night, then add it to the feed as once it's steeped in water it...
Hi Violet - thanks for replying! basically just gentle hacking at the moment, I need to up the ante and get him sweating! He's out on fairly poor pasture and just given a cup of fast fibre morning and night to mix in his supplements.
My pony is now on Equine Slimming World! He is a newforest good doer, but does have stomach issues so I don't want him to have nothing to eat for hours on end. He's stabled overnight (coming in around 3pm and out around 9am) on our winter routine. How much hay should I be giving him as I was...
I'm looking at trying some sloping/angled stirrup treads to help me achieve a better leg position.
I find it hard to drape my leg around my rather wide horse and my RI tells me to drop my little toe. I find this hard and I'm working hard with pilates and exercises to loosen my hip/thigh and...
Thanks FrankieCob - I think Intelligent Horsecare do Chios Mahstic but should I couple it with Yea Sacc as a probiotics? The Peptonil is £25.00 for 500g approximately
Hi I've had my boy on Trinity Consultants Peptonil trial bag for 10 days and I've seen a marked improvement in his attitude and work. MUCH less spooky - far more forward and much happier to be girthed.
He's had a lot of issues over the years (he's only 8) and I suspect he has leaky gut and...
My rising 8 year old gelding (NF x WB) has never really been settled.
He was gelded at 2 but was Cryptorchid and had to have surgery to remove the "hidden" testicle. The university hospital where he was done were confident they got it all, but I'm now beginning to wonder. He's had a blood...
Anyone used this? I'm looking for a mycotoxin binder/gut supplement for my pony. He's refusing to eat mycosorb sadly so I was looking for an alternative and this popped up
Thanks
He's on the Equifest Cool Calm and Collected at the moment, loading period, but it's not really kicking in like it should, hence why Malcolm and I were discussing if he was getting too much!
Don't wish to open too large a can of worms here, but Echo is on Cool Calm and Collected at the moment (mag free) as he gets 6g of Mag Ox per day in his balancer.
Had a chat this morning about whether some horses might be sensitive to Mag. He's not mag deficient as I've had him tested and...
Thanks Cobbytype. He'll pretty much eat anything and he's a good doer so I've held off using the oil but I think he needs the Omega 3 for the neuro side of things as well as the muscle.
My gelding has been diagnosed with EPSM 1 via genetic testing. He was on ALCAR but didn't seem to work for us that well, so I'm going to start him on the oil diet.
I've been speaking to Beth Valentine and given her all his info and she's suggested giving him half the recommended dose...
