Im a vet nurse and i never bother phoning the rspca, everythings too much trouble for them so contact other organisations that can be bothered! x

do the specks move? might just be dirt and they are sore/scratchy for him. depends if he will be still enough to let you look! i know mine wouldnt hehe x

ive owned my 6yr old cob 3 or 4 years now but 2 years ago he started coughing and snot pouring out his nose. Started soaking his hay and seem to sort it, really noticed when he was fed dry. maybe worth a go, worked for me and saved me calling the vet x

Have a 6yr old cob who last year in the late summer started headshaking. He's back doing it again this year! Been told piritons good but dose? Also seems worse out by trees aswell as rape fields, which means my hacks up the woods are out of the window til sorted the poor little chap out!
