Hi all,
With both my birthday and Christmas coming up, my lovely boyfriend has offered to buy me a new pair of boots. So far, I love the Mountain Horse Sovereign Field Boot and the Ariat Heritage Ellipse. Does anyone have any comments, good or bad, on these? My main concern is longevity...
Has anyone had any leather riding boots from Horka before? Have been searching for reviews but not found much information. I have seen a gorgeous pair of long boots but they seem relatively cheap so just wondered if anyone knew about the quality or fit?
A friend of mine in Surrey has been unable to find someone to share her lovely 15.2 Connie. No stable duties as he lives out, use of an arena and direct access to the common. Price totally negotiable, she just wants someone to ride him as much or as little as they want as she works silly hours...
Definitely persevere with calling them. It took me about 2 weeks to get through earlier this year, but the person was really helpful when I got through. They had halved my personal allowance and the woman basically admitted she didn't know why, and fixed it for me 😊
Hi all 😊 very excited as a friend has just offered me a lift to my very first ODE! It's at Pachesham on 20th June. Having never done this before, I have a few questions:
1) how should pony be turned out? Will I have to plait!? (Please say no)
2) what should I wear? Obviously jacket for...
Our cats and dog are absolutely useless at catching them 😔 we have rats come and go, currently seen lots running around and the cats just are not interested! Only way I've managed to get rid of any so far is when they fall in my horse's water bucket overnight and drown, it's absolutely...
Although he is slightly stiffer on the left rein when ridden, he does work well so I don't think there is anything wrong physically. But worth looking into if it persists, thanks 😊
Evening all. Tonight I tried to lunge my horse for the first time in a few years. On the right rein he was as good as gold, better than I was expecting given that we haven't done it for a while and when we did do it before, he wasn't always on his best behaviour. Anyway, I was very pleased. I...
Oh OP you have my strongest sympathies. In the last few months THE MOST ANNOYING WOMAN IN THE WORLD and her daughter have moved into the stable next door. I don't know what the answer is. I hear her chatting to me about nothing and walk off too, why on earth do they start on a new tangent just...
Did end up riding outside, we got drenched! Just annoying as I couldn't do what I had planned and I really think that I should expect some notice! I am much too polite to demand the return of my wheelbarrow unfortunately :(
Arghh. I work on a rota system so I have irregular days off. It is our busiest time of year at the mo so only one day off a week, which was today. Arrived at yard around 10am (YO turns out early) to ride, to be met with 15 youngsters on a stable management course using the school. Head round the...
Strange, I really thought I had heard the term somewhere before. My very old school YO mentioned it today and I didn't think to ask until too late. Never mind. Good luck with Stage II tescoexpress!!
