Hi everyone,
I was hoping some of you could point me in the right direction to get a start with some working hunter shows. I am looking in the Durham/Yorkshire area. What shows are out there that offer working hunter classes for a 12 year old gelding jumping 3'-3'6 being ridden by an adult...
She could have hit here leg when she got the cut and there is some sort of tissue damage underneath. If it continues or seems to get worse I would have the vet out to make sure there are no underlying issues. They may suggest something to get rid of it, or just tell you how to properly maintain...
I had a horse who would not move forward on the lunge as well. I agree with using a plastic bag tied to the end of the lunge whip however you still want him to listen to you and not just run around. I started lunging my horse on a small circle and really working on voice commands. It took A LOT...
How old is your mare? Has she had any previous injuries? Are both front legs swelling or just one?

Hi everyone, I am looking into doing an equine degree (not sure which one yet) at these colleges and would appreciate any feedback. I have been told through word of mouth both places have nice facilities, however I am more interested in the quality of lectures, courses offered and how well...

Thank you so much! This really helps, one question though, if the Judge rides your horse are there not liability issues? or are you covered through your memberships? I like how the judge seems to be more involved, You are not allowed to speak to Judges in Canada and they usually Judge the flat...
I would definitely try the full cheek snaffle. When I started jumping my mare she was no brakes, no steering and the full cheek worked wonders and its not too harsh! Hope you find one that works for your guy :)
Hi everyone, I will be bringing my horses over mid summer from Canada and well I must say our Hunter Classes in Canada seem VERY different than those in the UK. My only experiences with working hunter in the Uk have been from youtube videos and watching a flat class at the Yorkshire show several...
Hi everyone, I am new to this forum and will soon be new to living in the UK (Horses coming over from Canada in July/August time). Anyways, I will be in the North East and have looked into some feed suppliers that Millbry Hill and Farmway carry but that is as far as I have gotten. Dengie...
