I've had this pony for about 5 months.
She's had her back done, teeth done newly shod and a saddle check.
The saddle I did have on was to long so I put a different saddle on the next day and she didn't shoot farward at all.
Then today she was shooting farward
She normally does it when I...
I'd like some schooling advice as my horse has become a bit clumsy and having poles down. Hight isn't the problem I have a good rythem canter he just seems to be careless.

Today I went to look at a pony that on the pictures looked ok...but when I got there my heart sank. She is in such poor condition so I just couldn't leave her. She is 14.2 Thoroughbred X, 7 Year old, mare that recently (4-5 weeks her foal was weaned) she is dried up now and nolonger producing...
The saddle is fitted.
His previous owners had his teeth done last back end. I've got the dentist man looking at another horses teeth on Thursday so ill get his done too.
He's very forward. I'm thinking maybe try school him in a snaffle.
Im looking for a different bit for a very strong pony he's not strong in walk or trot but canter he gets very strong, ( head up and in ) He's currently in a running gag that came with him. I have only just bought him....
I've been a bit thick.
Long story short I have a vets number that's looks at the horses at work. ( completely forgot in had it) text him the symptoms and he said if there's a pules in the Pastern/ fetlock then could be gravel. He said he can call in tonight and he'll do it a bit cheaper.
so when did I say he definitely doesn't need the vet?
if you haven't got anything other than Get the vet then please don't comment
like ive said if he get better then im not calling the vet, if he gets worse or stays the same then ill call the vet.
if he was insured id get the vet out...
hes barefoot had a really good dig there was one little stone right in the seat of corn that I had to pick at to get out, would that have anything to do with it?
how can I know what it is? There is nothing to look at! No swelling no heat NOTHING.
I know when to call the vet im giving him time to get better,
like ive just said if he gets worse then I will call the vet before
I was asking what people think this could be NOT when to call the vet
Yesterday I got my tb in from the field he was perfectly sound.
Then when I went to turn him back out he was hopping lame in front , no heat, no swelling.
He can put weight on it and is willing to move around is stable.
I put front stale bandages.
Any idea what this could be ? :confused...
If it was washing powder wouldn't it affect him every where ?
It looks sore but he lets me touch it and put cream on.
He's on chaff, cool mix and carrots.
Find me on Facebook and ill send you the picture.
