Yesterday I got my tb in from the field he was perfectly sound.
Then when I went to turn him back out he was hopping lame in front , no heat, no swelling.
He can put weight on it and is willing to move around is stable.
I put front stale bandages.
Any idea what this could be ?

If there is no improvement on Thursday then the vet will be called.

I know when to call the vet im giving him time to get better,
like ive just said if he gets worse then I will call the vet before
I was asking what people think this could be NOT when to call the vet

Well... I could be the harbinger of doom saying this..
This recently happened with my horse. She was weight bearing, but only just.
I got the vet out who advised to poultice for a week to see if it was an abscess.
Turns out, after a week and a half of this, she had to go to the vets for xrays, and was a fractured pedal bone...
Fingers crossed it isnt this, but if you suspect it might be his foot it might be worth poulticing?

Shiny side away from the hoof, do a wet one as they work better, and if it can be hot even better!
You might need some duck tape to keep it on. I went through a whole roll of it in the time mine had hers on

Sounds stupidly obvious but have you really studied the hoof to make sure there's not a nail or something embedded? Is she shod or not? If shod, might be worth getting farrier to come take shoe off and check hoof. Better to keep the shoe off anyway possibly so vet can have a really good look, plus its easier to poultice if it is an absess.

Sorry but I don't see how you can not know what it is, but do know it definitely doesn't need a vet until - arbitrarily - Thursday?
The symptoms as you've described could be anything from a bruised sole to an abcess to a ligament strain to a fractured bone and everything in between.

hes barefoot had a really good dig there was one little stone right in the seat of corn that I had to pick at to get out, would that have anything to do with it?
how can I know what it is? There is nothing to look at! No swelling no heat NOTHING.

so when did I say he definitely doesn't need the vet?
if you haven't got anything other than Get the vet then please don't comment

like ive said if he get better then im not calling the vet, if he gets worse or stays the same then ill call the vet.
if he was insured id get the vet out straight away but as hes not Im giving him time to get better.

I didn't say you claimed he doesn't need a vet. If you read my post, my point was that with no idea what it might be, and no symptoms to monitor apart from pain, it's impossible to say at this point that Thursday would be the correct point at which to call in the vet.

You asked what it might be, and as I said: there are any number of things it could be, from a simple bruise to a fracture.

Anyway, I'll leave you to it. Hope it resolves quickly and easily for you.

Same for me. Vet said either fractured pedal bone or ddft injury. This was after a week of poulticing. X rays showed nothing. So probably soft tissue injury in my horses case. No heat, no swelling but was very lame. Have just completed 4 weeks of box rest and now in a 12 x 12 paddock for another 4 weeks.

I've been a bit thick.
Long story short I have a vets number that's looks at the horses at work. ( completely forgot in had it) text him the symptoms and he said if there's a pules in the Pastern/ fetlock then could be gravel. He said he can call in tonight and he'll do it a bit cheaper.
