Looking for 24/7 year round turnout in the area, Kenmure is out as they stable through winter, and as I don't drive I can't stray too far from public transport routes - any ideas?
^^ This. Hope I don't offend you OP but you do sound very young!
There's a saying "what other people think of you is none of your business" and once you understand that saying you'll end up with less grey hairs ;)
The majority of horsey people are bitch and catty - we all know this. By letting a snide comment get to you to the point you feel the need to rant about it on a public forum because you want us to slate HER and tell YOU everything will be ok is only stooping to her level.
Once you learn not to...
It's a good page if you don't mind the CONTINUOUS bickering, fighting, slagging and general childish behaviour from the members.
Oh, and don't get sucked into Annes dramatics, pity parties and temper tantrums... I ended up leaving the page because she stressed me out so much - and I've never...
My shetland doesn't like apples, though is your typical greedy pony and will take a piece of apple if you offer it to her before looking completely horrified and spitting it back out!
Flexi ones! You can buy super expensive ones or just get a £20 pair of roma (I think) ones like I did. I don't lose my stirrups half as much as I did with standard types, and for someone with bad joints it's done me wonders, I can ride for much longer now, I will never look back!!

My shetland is a nightmare for squeezing into small gaps, her favourites are buckets, wheelbarrows and cars if the boot/door is open, she likes to see if she can fit in them.
My horse has a pink nose so gets suncream on in the summer. He likes to wipe his newly suncreamed nose down the back of...
I've noticed a big difference since I started using Kevin Bacon (keratex before) on my barefoot boy. He is currently the only barefoot horse at the yard, and all the hacking is rough, stony forest track terrain, which we do 5 or 6 days a week for roughly 2 hours a time.
I use it every other...
Mine used to be stabled almost 24/7 year round, when I bought him I chucked him out and he is so much happier and healthier. When needed he is well rugged and well fed.
I would laugh in their face if anyone asked me this, and be more peed off about the assumption that it's ok for a YO to ask to use my horse as a Guinea pig when she has 30 of her own horses.
Absolutely not.
I hope you get a good end result furtherafield.
I have major concerns over horse welfare at two certain riding schools, both of which I have been employed at in the past so was seeing first hand what goes on 'behind the scenes'. Complaints have been made to both the BHS and the SSPCA in the...
