What does "Emergency Exit" mean to you?

I won't go down this road at all, I just didn't want to escalate a worrying situation any further by putting my hands on their property.

What does "Emergency Exit" mean to you?

I was alone with at least four belligerent men, maybe more. Nobody knew where I was and my partner was an hour and a half from being home from work. I felt it was dangerous to do more than I did. I took this picture when I realised I was being watched as I put the fence around the object. He...

What does "Emergency Exit" mean to you?

I have messaged the landlord. There is a possibility the land outside that exit should not be rented to some other party for legal reasons but that doesn't make it okay.

What does "Emergency Exit" mean to you?

I put some posts and rope round it with them watching me the whole time, standing in my field. I was incandescent.

What does "Emergency Exit" mean to you?

They are mobile vets and the gentleman's wife is a horse owner.

What does "Emergency Exit" mean to you?

Too far from the door to be a barrier. They have cameras out there too...

What does "Emergency Exit" mean to you?

No, it's a metal thing, looks as though it's a canopy for something. It had fresh paint on it.

What does "Emergency Exit" mean to you?

I rent a lovely little field at the bottom of my village next to some commercial units. Both belong to the same owner and he rents the field and units out. We've been there three years and have just paid a year's rent in advance. The new tenant of one of the units has decided the emergency exit...

    Horse prejudice.

I think the only horses I'm prejudiced against are the extreme broken faced arabs. I find them revolting and wouldn't want anything to do with them or the people who buy them or breed them. 🤮

    Horse prejudice.

Best one I experienced was someone saying my OH's Cleveland Bay was "common". Their horse was a TB.

Pictures What 'quirks' do you accept from your horse ?

Ruby will not be schooled. She gets huffy if she's mounted 10 feet away from the field gate and made to walk and wait to check for traffic. Puffs and blows and generally behaves as though she's going to explode into a bucking/tanking off fit but as soon as she is out of the gate, good as gold...

    Buttercups - what to do?

I wonder what it was then. 🤔

    Buttercups - what to do?

Sheep grazing for a couple of years got rid of our buttercup problem completely.

    Tips on keeping heels down

Don't push your heels down or your toes up, rather allow your weight down into them. Allow your heels to take the weight of your body. I used to stand on the edge of a stair and allow my weight to drop into my heels. It's surprising how stable it feels.

Are horses members of the family like dogs are?

Great thread blitznbobs. Some of mine have been like family. Bess was with us until she passed last summer and her now 12 year old daughter will be ours until her time comes too. Ruby, my avatar pony has been around since 2020 and won't be going anywhere either. My OH had her New Forest mare...
