We won with this:
just looked at the dates - i can't believe how long ago that was! It feels like yesterday. We lost him in 2006 :( You could do anything to him & he couldn't care less :) x
Nope, just ebay. Does it say "seller is away"? They might be off for the weekend. They tend to take everything off sale til they're back. It'll give u a date somewhere. If it's not that, i ain't got a clue! :)
I tried them all before forking out for the Greenguard. Should have done that in the first place! Deff worth the money. I'd recommend the GG headcollar too though. Keeps it in place much better x
Not sure if this link will work, but it was posted on the fb group 'the mad house' last night : https://m.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151887539998448&set=a.68295043447.93925.838473447&type=1&theater&refsrc=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fphoto.php&_rdr
Horrific whatever it was :(
Ouch, poor boy. And poor you :( Maybe have a read of this thread / pm the owner - might give you some wound-management ideas. http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=586687
Good luck with him. Let us know how he gets on xx
I'd be very suspicious of Cushings tbh. Would probably check for that first. I think there are still free vouchers available online if you Google it. Worth testing for at his age anyway, even if it's unrelated. Home you get to the bottom of it, but that's all i can think of x
Oh no :( At least it's fixable though. Really hope she's ok. 6 weeks will probably drag for her, but in the grand scheme of things, she's very lucky. Sending lots of get better soon vibes xxx
And yep to a fundraiser :) x
I always get my 'hyper' & 'hypo's' mixed up! :) But yes, he'd been on the calcium supp prior to the collapse. And you're right - they did a bilateral. It was a specialist referral vets & tbh, we just did as we were told. Knowing what we know now, we'd have gone about it all differently. The...
I feel your frustration :( Have u tried a bute trial? That would tell you if the behavior is pain-related. I don't just mean to give him bute one day - i mean a full course, then do something with him after 10 days or so of bute (like pop him on the lunge, or try to ride him out of the yard) and...
I know you said success stories, but just to make you aware of possible complications that can come with hyperthyroidism. Not to scare you! :)
We had one with this. We treated him with oral meds for a while, but he eventually had the op. After a year, he was hyperthyroid again! :eek...
I have a ride and drive mare. I read once that they're always better at/prefare one over the other. In my mares case, she's like 2 different horses : to ride, she thinks she's a racehorse & prefers to go one pace faster than you're actually asking. To drive, she's the most responsive, obedient...
I am on my third trimmer, but finally feel I've got a good'un now. Been using him since Aug last year. I aim for mine to self-trim, but when we can't keep on top of it, Darren trims very sympathetically. Im in cheshire : not sure where you are ibot? Here's his site...
I did. No longer with the hubby, but still got my girlies :D
