Anyone!? All I can find is (supposedly healthy) sugary licks. And supalyx put GMO soya in theirs so don't know who else is doing it. Anyone know of a healthy mineral/herb lick/block? Thanks!
Great, thanks for that. Who knew its so hard to fit a girth! That's what I thought with string, more contoured/supple than leather hopefully. Oh and you don't find with the girth so high that the buckles are under your legs at all? :)
Thanks both. I haven't got a sheepskin cover but I think the shape and size are wrong for her with the girth iv got so thought string might be a good option. Kaiser, how far is your girth roughly from the top hole? And cute pony! And catkin, did you find the string girth stretched at all? :)
I have a barefoot treeless saddle with dressage girth straps. My pony is a 13.2 Arab type. Measured her several times and assuming I'm doing it right I came up with 24". Does that sound normal? She actually measured 25 and a half inches but thought 26" might be too big. I'm very worried about...
I'll have to check that out! What material? And do you find the girth straps are at an angle? I have the Cheyenne. I'm just wondering if I have too short a girth as yours looks like its just slightly above his elbow and fits fine!? BTW hes lovely :) mines just recently had the saddle on too
Yeah this is my problem too, the girth doesn't lay flat. The straps on mine are straight but unfortunatly come down in the wrong place. I have heard some good things about the mohair string from people with thin skinned Arabs so thought I'd try! Otherwise sheep sleeves!
Just to add, because of where the treeless sits on her, when the straps are down, instead of being behind her legs in her girth groove they are several inches behind. i.e the girth sits on her belly rather than her groove. So when I do it up it sits at an angle for the girth to sit in her...
