    the bit or me???

The fact that his teeth are due in Feb could easily point to a problem there - it would be worth seeing if you can bring that forward and get those checked ASAP. I'd start by checking teeth if he were mine. i'd start with getting teeth checked by a good dentist. Teeth are my first...

    the bit or me???

So my horse is currently ridden in an eggbutt snaffle however for whatever reason he is not at all comfortable in his mouth. When I school him and try to pick up any kind of contact he fights with me, chomps the bit and generally fidgets with his head, becoming very short in his strides and...

    Best lunge lines to use

I have a kincade one that I bought for about £8 which has done the job since I first bought my horse, I personally wouldn't lunge with two reins and would fully recommend a lunge line to make your life easier!! :)

    Help! loose ring fulmer?!

its so hard to describe but I've done exactly that and the stick bit of the fulmer gets pulled back a little as it should but goes at such an angle that the ring can no longer slide freely, its probably one of those things that can't really be solved thanks for the advice though.

    Help! loose ring fulmer?!

So I recently bought my boy a loose ring fulmer with a French link and today when I was trying it on I couldn't get it to "work", before I bought it I researched the bit and found it should be used with loops, however when I put the loops on I found that the loose ring was not 'loose' and the...

    bitting advice!? :)

hello, so I've currently got my horse in an eggbut snaffle however I've noticed that the bit, even though it fits, is sliding through his mouth, the obvious solution that I've found is a full cheek but I was just looking for some opinions on it, I find it difficult to get him to accept the bit...

    Can't catch my pony!

Every time you catch her give her a treat of some kind so she associates you catching her with treats and over time she will become easier to catch. As regards to actually catching her in the meantime catch the arab and give her treats etc and hopefully your pony should get 'jealous' however...
