First Jumping Lesson in 8 Years!

Nothing is wrong with you! You're just naturally nervous as you're rusty, but chances are when you're actually doing it/done it you'll feel great! So hold onto that feeling. Start small and don't feel because you've jumped big and scary before doesn't mean you have to do it again. Good luck, let...

    Goals for 2014

Had an incredible year and literally achieved all my long term goals with my horse! :D. so in 2014 goals are: *Bring on green project horse (not owned by me) and get her working properly *Do whatever I feel like with my horse! Ride, don't ride much, who knows. Mainly just to have fun with...

First show jumping competition! Really nervous!

Just thought I'd let those who were kind enough to reply how we got on :) Had a fantastic time! We were late so went into the clear round quite quickly. The round went well, horse slightly looky at the fillers but that's because I was nervous of them I think! We had one stop at a scary plank...

    Weekend plans?

Going to join in for the first time ever! On Sunday going to a local very very tiny show jumping competition! Jumping at the grand height of 30cm :D my goal is to win a rosette, so hopefully fingers crossed entering the clear round then competing in the 30cm class. Tiny I know but I'm actually...

First show jumping competition! Really nervous!

Thank you both! Yeah, I'm hoping as it's a small height that the fillers at least won't be under the jumps! :)

First show jumping competition! Really nervous!

Thank you showpony! I'll have friends their to help me and I'm hoping when I'm actually doing it I shouldn't be so bad, it's the build up to it that's worse! Forgot to mention the other reason I'm super nervous is because I'm taking the horse by himself for the first time and honestly am not...

First show jumping competition! Really nervous!

Hi everyone :) So this weekend I'm taking my horse to our first ever competition! Decided to do show jumping as it's really what we're best at IMO :) My only aim is to win a rosette, so hopefully we will! It's only really tiny jumps - we'll be entering the clear round jumping to warm us up...

How did you know when you found the 'right' horse?!

Interesting question! I found mine through word and mouth so no photos to look at before hand! When I was looking for my current horse I remember the morning of the viewing before I left saying to friends 'that there was no point me going, probably wouldn't end up even liking the horse...'...

    With 2014 looming...

Had a fantastic year with the horse. Have gone from not getting on or riding, and tbh barely even being brave enough to handle the horse, to jumping a 3ft course with doubles, hacking out in company with no one walking beside us. To fast cantering/galloping across a mile of stubble field,to...
