    Joint supplement

Just started my lab on Riaflex Joint Plus HA as it has amazing reviews and fantastic levels of ingredients. My question is has anyone tried feeding Boswellia to their dog. I'm looking at adding this in alongside but when I tried it on my horses years ago I know they wouldn't eat it.

    Dog joint supplement

Riaflex is far higher spec than Yumove and also much more cost effective. Definately worth looking at :). www.riaflex.co.uk

    Vets report help on eventer!

Conformational issues can be overlooked. No horse is 100% straight. However, what would concern me is that she has a uni lateral issue behind with 1 leg not acting correctly this suggests to me that there is an underlying issue that may rear it's ugly head when you push her harder with...

    Severed Extensor tendon????? Recovery??

Some people are possibly better at explaining themselves in writing than others. I will in future take more time to explain in more depth what I am saying. It's new to me so obviously I need to improve my method. Apologies to anyone else who have found my replies to be to basic. I am working on it

    Joint supplememnts and injury advice

Fair comments and I completely agree with regards to journals etc. Perhaps the website should log them? I too feel passionately about how so many people are taken for a ride on joint supplements. I find it quite disturbing that often companies hugely under dose with consumers unaware due to lack...

Arthritic joint.... can anything be done?

You haven't said whether DJD has been specifically diagnosed. It is important that you know whether this is a muscular/tendon injury or a DJD. If you use bute and it is a muscular injury you can do more harm than good. This will mask the pain so the horse will work in a more normal fashion...

    Sacroiliac Ligament damage

I am not stating that all chiropractic work is damaging. They do have their place. However, the pelvis is a structure not designed to have excesive movememnt in the SI. Essentially this structure is held together and functions via an extensive ligament structure amongst the obvious musculature...

    Sacroiliac Ligament damage

Hi, sacroiliac damage is irreversible but not necessarily a huge problem. Under no circumstances should you trot up steep hills as this particualr gait places huge strain on the pelvis. Either walk up them or canter up them. Yes you should definately get a physio out. By the sounds of him being...

Peeling frog, could it be making him footsore?

Yes peeling frogs can make a horse lame. But it depends on the extent of the peeling. Generally it won't cause too much trouble but if nasty enough it will be sore.
