Sounds like your vet doesnt really know whats wrong so how can he treat it. 'damage to the sacroliliac' sounds so vague to me.
Yes would try for longer- it takes simply ages and you keep thinking 'this really isnt working' and then all of a sudden they give in and you get the best contact ever.

Its good and bad...good in that it gives the foot a nice cushioning, but bad because it makes the frogs sweat, so they become all soft and they shrink , therefore the insides of the foot will become all soft which is what you dont want-- because you want the frogs to become as large and as hard...
What I would try is letting go of the left rein completly, and only holding onto the right. Stay like this for a good 45 mins or so, whatever you do, do not take up a contact on the left or use the hand at all- he is not allowed to take ANY weight on it

What are your thoughts on this horse as an event sire? Is he producing the goods? He looks a smashing type of horse and I love the way he is bred- crossed with a TB mare he would make a really nice tough event type I think? My only concern is that there only seems to be a very small handfull...
