Turnout Rugs To Fit Full TB..........

Used to love rhino wugs for my old TB but to tight for my warmbloods around the chest. Have converted to weatherbeetas for them as more roomy so might be to big for TBs. Guess what I am trying to say is Rhino wugs for TB s but not weatherbeeta's.

would your horse pass a flexion test???

Hello in my experience vets are always very honest and do not mislead you, if they think anything could be wrong they will always say. My two would not pass a vetting now - one has very mild thoroughpin and another has spavins - both fine though and do what I want. Vet has told me that my mare...

Hello, thanks for this, yes this is my thinking as well, but conventional wisdom appears to be that dividing into paddocks manages the land better so wondered what others thought.

To section off field in winter or not ?

Currently renting 7 acres of fairly wet land for winter for two big horses. Field shelter on about half an acre which drains really well which i will put them on when it is really wet. The rest of the field drains well in parts but also has areas which are really wet, but it has held up to...

    Cheapest type/way of providing forage?

Grass is good if you can get hold of more grazing. Many horses do well off grass even in winter if there is plenty of it. Also big bale haylage if your horses can eat it before it wastes.

    Hoof Boots

Hello I don't have any experience with the marquis boots so I guess if they say they are ok for turnout then they should be fine, but if your field isn't too stony I would still think he should be ok without. The transition period was ok (I had transitioned my mare two months previously so had a...

Just came on to post: saddle fitter told me not to use elastic on one side girths, but see its already been done, so another vote for not using these or alternating the sides.

Hello, I can't speak specifically for greyhounds (although I do have one) but I know that large dogs don't have as long a life span as smaller ones and also kennal dogs generaly have a shorter life span than house kept ones so if he has been kept kennelled when in racing perhaps this has aged...
