Hi, I haven't had experience of either of them but Alex does vidoes on horseheros and seems to be pretty good at explaining what he's doing and works his horses in a way that makes sense, it might be worth watching some of them? :)
Since leaving school in May I have worked as a dinnerlady at a local primary school and also do one or two days a week on a local yard. I also sell things that me or the horses have grown out of on ebay - would deffo recomend this if you're not too sentimental! Every single penny that i earn...
Just wanted people's thoughts on what to do with horses legs after XC, there's obviously pros ans cons for all options eg Ice, clay, Bandaging ect but please share your experiences of what has or hasn't worked for you, and also if the going affects what you do...
Thankyou :)
A few weeks after I had got a new horse which everyone I knew had said stuff like 'don't go near that thing', 'it needs a bullet', 'its an old goat, ready for the knackers yard' 'it won't do your riding any good at all' 'You'll get hurt' (all those sorts of comments) I had hired a course of SJ...
I had an incident XC a few years ago where my horse fell and i ended up knocked out on the floor, like you I wasn't bothered about jumping again but my horse was really shaken up ( although she was relitively experienced and usually over confident with jumping) and next time I did try and Jump...

I've got my first JRN in two weeks and I'm sooo pleased to have got this far! But a bit nervous too tbh though. Have a VERY limited budget and poor facilities so really excited just to have got to Novice level. Will probably do really badly but gonna just go for it, have fun and believe in...
I went last year and was shocked at how expensive it was! Lucikly though we loaned out the horse that I'd qualified on to some people on a yard about 20mins away so didn't have to pay for stabling. Still it was an expensive trip. I guess that the organisers do have a lot costs to cover and the...
I am sure there will be someone out there who is prepared to put the time and effort in to get along with your horse. For someone capable and confident that wants experience, but who is on a limited budget, a horse like yours is an attractive option! I currently have on loan a horse with really...
I have an ex-racer that was given to me straight off the track about 18months ago - as she had steeplechased, when jumping she used to charge at the fences, going straight through them and when doing grids or poles she used to try and jump the whole lot. I have had no professional help with her...
Sorry this is so long but thought i would share some of my experiences of sarcoids with you:I had a horse that developed sarcoids in between her back legs:The vet took some pictures of them and sent them off to a specialist for a specific cream to be made. We had two sorts of cream to put on...
