    "Please don't bite!" Weight Improvement?

She's only getting ridden 2/3 times a week as I'm so busy with lambing at the moment so is lacking a huge amount of muscle which will hopefully come once I have more time to work her. I had the physio out and she's given me a sort of routine/timetable of how to use the pessoa etc.. Just...

Topline has always been an issue but we're working on that. Now the ground is drying up, I can lunge in the field so will be starting pessoa work soon. Thankyou Shay :)

    "Please don't bite!" Weight Improvement?

I posted a while ago about this horse's weight, having lost a lot of condition when I bought her and through stress continued to lose more. I struggled to put weight on her, but I think I've got there? (She is clipped as I am slightly allergic to horses, but this flares up when they...

    Barefoot gurus any ideas?

I agree with everyone else's comments. I have a poor doer and feed 500/550g of linseed after she dropped a considerable amount of weight before Xmas. She piled on weight quickly and safely. Another feed I like for poor doers is soaked grass nuts. I soak them with speedibeet & linseed over...

Would like to try my TB barefoot - a few queries

RE hoof boots It depends how he is straight out of shoes. Ideally you need the hooves to condition to the work you're going to do. My TB was fine hacking short distances without boots but need them for longer hacks. Look up Rockley Farm Blog - loads and loads of very good advice. The...

Hoof Boots... Marquis, Equine Fusion etc..

Thankyou. Out of interest, which Easyboots do you recommend? They all seem to be very similar in the blurb, but with different fastenings. ***off to seach ebay!***

Hoof Boots... Marquis, Equine Fusion etc..

I need them for most hacks. The horse hasnt got the best hooves caused by diet, shoes and low grade laminitis and struggles with hacks after about a mile. (She's only getting light hacking/ inhand walks at the moment but Im hoping by the summer well.be doing a lot more.)

Hoof Boots... Marquis, Equine Fusion etc..

Thanks everyone. I've really confused myself as to what boots are best now! I will need some that are suitable for road work as well as tracks/mud/stones in walk, trot and canter. Anyone have any recommendations?

Hoof Boots... Marquis, Equine Fusion etc..

Let me know how you get on with them as I read somewhere that Easyboots aren't great for round feet.

Hoof Boots... Marquis, Equine Fusion etc..

I had barefoot trimmer out to my mare yesterday and she recommended using hoof boots for hacking. She did recommend the Equine Fusion boots, but can't find any opinions on them? Also, I've also seen the Marquis Suregrip boots and they look like something that could be worth considering...
