in my experience a horse stopping that doesnt normaly is hurting so check that out first. also the ground is unusually hard for time of year which can cause a horse to jump funny.dont give up on one bad performance and the 80training classes are lovely if your worried

i think it depends on the individual horse.one of mine is very difficult to jump as he likes to do things in his own style,so i often canter over poles one day,hack and then pop him over a cross pole the next and jump a course the following day so i am not over jumping him but can get my eye...
