I’ve got the deauville. Never use the saddle rack. I have the barn doors and the horses always seem to prefer stepping up into the trailer.

I let my horses old owner ride occasionally. I would let a friend ride so it's similar for me. She doesn't take the mick and we are just both open about it (if I want to ride that day I would tell her another day would be better for example)

100% this. He caused a dangerous situation. You just held people up for a few mins of their day. Btw very rare incident. You were unlucky, don't let him put you off.

Look for one with high lumens. amazon do lots and I got mine from there. Can't remember how many lumens it is but is brighter than the sun and rechargeable. It was about £14 and is on its 3rd winter.

As someone else posted... Rigger boots. So grippy in the mud. Steel toe caps etc and very warm. It makes me giggle when I walk with someone in wellies through the mud and they are sliding everywhere!

Mine is like this. Sleeps for England! Goes mad on a walk but isn't fussed if he can't get one for any reason. Very rare occasion though since we also have a springer who needs permanent entertainment :)
