I've just got a Bates wide for my coffee table shaped Highland pony. Tried a couple but this was the one that didn't slip.

The Ideal sounds like a risk to me. I'd buy the one you have been riding in.

@Northern I totally agree. I never understand why anyone would voice an opinion on other people's tack colour preferences. Also agree with @sbloom and @Roxylola that brown leather has so much more character, and looks nicer with navy. I wear beige breeches and have a navy jacket and champagne...

They both take the white xw The standard fit takes everything narrower eg blue red green yellow black The Wide takes everything wider eg lilac , purple, dark purple

Unfortunately it needs to be the Wide version that takes the lilac bars. They are quite hard to come by anyway, but once you add in the brown they are like hen's teeth ? Thanks though. Feel free to keep looking ?
