    Thanks :) he hasnt arrived yet he is coming 2moro! He is not lame or anything and not showing any signs of discomfort he just has really muddy legs and his back legs are unattractively swollen which makes it look worse than it is if you know what i mean! i was thinking of hosing his legs down...

    forgot to add that info in sorry, i know the man who owns him very well, he lives just up the road and i pass the geldings field quite regularly. ive had a look over the horse no lumps or bumps and he is very quiet. in a very boggy field mud up to his hocks very nearly :S so want to get him out...

    No baloo wasnt at all sharp or sensative a proper little softy, and aron is a softy aswell. When i bought aron in august he was completely unhandled and it only about a week at the most to have him trusting me and willing to be caught in the field :)

    Do horses need rebacking after a long time off?

    well i believe that if u break a horse properly u shouldnt have to reback etc! but yes agree with above post, if he is rushing of with a rider then you need to go bak to basics, plenty of long reining and lunging!
