Hi i have a TB who measures M/W for saddles - she is fitted with a Jeffries Hawk Event and i love it, perfect alrounder saddle and armchair comfortable - not very light but good quality. I had a Thorowgood Cob saddle for my connemara before and i really didnt like it. good luck!

Sounds like you are going to be much better with money than i am! However my advice to you would be to set up a 'bill paying account', in my case this means that every month when i get paid i transfer £850 by standing order into this account - pays for all bills incl mortgage, gas, sky tv...

Other - my horse has access to stable 24/7 from field so will only be kept in when weather is horrendously bad, she copes well

My TB (to be clipped next week) is alternating between HW combo and MW combo with added insulator underneath turned out, thankfully she does very well in this horrendous monsoon/ hurricane-like weather in scotland at the mo..

I got an energizer one out of homebase couple weeks ago, its fab - has different beam widths and is super-comfy,comes with batteries- was about £16.. hope this helps..

Recommend the Jeffries Hawk Event GP - I bought mine second hand for just under £500, fits my mare like a glove, is 'armchair' comfortable and is great as an allrounder saddle... gets my vote anyway.
