British Showjumping membership query- horse reg help please!

A query to all the wise ones ;) Madam has now gone out on loan (sob) but her new "guardian" ;) will be taking her out showjumping, so we need to re-register her BS. Can we do this without changing her ownership? Or would I need to regsiter as an owner if I wanted to keep her in my name?

Bit/mouthpiece suggestions for strong horse with a mouth that splits!

If the neue schule bit works, I'd just wrap the mouthpiece in latex. Then you have a liveable mouthpiece which shouldn't split his mouth. Cheaper than buying a new bit too.

    Vale View

They have showers onsite, and a decent cafe, although worth finding out beforehand what its opening hours will be :) the surfaces are good, and you'll either be in the new indoor or the big outdoor for your tests at that time of year. :)

    Forward cut stud girth

I've got a Kate Negus one which is pretty well cut for all round protection...expensive though!!

    Value for money

Wouldn't touch dalmar if someone paid me. Carbon fibre is designed to shatter on impact....I have prem equines and NEW and prolites, all which are good :)

    Stepping up BN to Disco/newcomers

If all you want to do is sj, I'd be looking for a horse that is wanting to keep fences up a bit more. There is nothing more soul destroying than a horse that should be doing well on paper, but has a fence down consistently. I would aslo be less concerned by fences down infront than behind....

    Cheap JIN stirrups??

I've got the equipe floater stirrups which are well worth the money. Unfortunately someone else will be making the most of them soon, but I do love them!

    jump saddle saga continues...

Equipe expression or synergy. I've got a MW one which fits everything I have had it on, and Loops has big shoulders and "barrell" and it fits perfectly. They're expensive but our yard has 5very different horses all with this saddle in no more than 1cm width fittings difference.

Which leg is this horse lame on ...

My mare was very similar. Turned out to be bilateral front foot lameness after full body scans, suspensories, etc etc. It was incredibly subtle, but caused her to be cautious infront which showed up as moving short behind as was guarding her front feet. She looked worse on her near hind, where...

Where to find a loaner for a "competition" horse?

Thanks guys. I am very sad at the thought, but if I can find the right home will be best all round I think :(

Where to find a loaner for a "competition" horse?

I use the term competition horse lightly as she is one more in temperament than anything at the mo! Unfortunately circumstances mean I am looking seriously at loaning madam out. However, I am struggling to think of the best place to advertise to get the right sort of person, as most of the...
