Boots won't be fitted until Thursday/Friday now. Bandages off tomorrow as Fell is so sore. Vet wants to give his legs a chance to strengthen up before they are held in braced boots. Stay with us.

Don't knock yourself. It just so happens these twins are not identical - they each had their own placenta. Identical twins do happen though!

That's awful and I know just what you mean about foaling time. Even after. The day before the twins were born we lost a beautiful 6 month old foal. The farrier was about to trim her feet when she flew up and took and tumble on her head sustaining horrendous injuries. We fought to save her...

I'm so very sorry to hear this. This is what people don't realise, just how difficult it is for mares to give birth to live twins. It's bad enough losing any foal, but to lose the mum aswell is just dreadful.

Fell's already trouble. He's been up on those legs long before his big brother and double barrelling him into the bargain with his ears back! He gets cross with his mum when she moves as he goes to feed. Sheer frustration for him. What's really sweet is when both brothers call eachother...
