    AES Grading - Comments please

Going to throw a spanner in the works here. I took my 2 1/2 colt to be graded. We are a very young stud and, basically nobodies. I have worked my ........!!! off since this colt was born as I spotted stallion potential. I had always understand that you needed an important "face" to present...

could I have a few little get well vibes ...

Lots from here, including my two little foal twins. Most of my mares are "senior citizens", wouldn't be without them. Lots of good vibes for Solly xx

    Rare foal twins!

Boots won't be fitted until Thursday/Friday now. Bandages off tomorrow as Fell is so sore. Vet wants to give his legs a chance to strengthen up before they are held in braced boots. Stay with us.

    Rare foal twins!

Don't knock yourself. It just so happens these twins are not identical - they each had their own placenta. Identical twins do happen though!

    Rare foal twins!

the vet xrayed little Fell and said his main problem was that the bones hadn't formed properly. they also said I should let the little one go and "concentrate my efforts" on the big one.

    Rare foal twins!

That's awful and I know just what you mean about foaling time. Even after. The day before the twins were born we lost a beautiful 6 month old foal. The farrier was about to trim her feet when she flew up and took and tumble on her head sustaining horrendous injuries. We fought to save her...

    Rare foal twins!

I'm so very sorry to hear this. This is what people don't realise, just how difficult it is for mares to give birth to live twins. It's bad enough losing any foal, but to lose the mum aswell is just dreadful.

    Rare foal twins!

Fell's already trouble. He's been up on those legs long before his big brother and double barrelling him into the bargain with his ears back! He gets cross with his mum when she moves as he goes to feed. Sheer frustration for him. What's really sweet is when both brothers call eachother...

    Rare foal twins!

Thank you so much again for all your kindness. I will try and get photos of us fitting the boots so you can see what they are all about. It usually takes 3 of us to hold Fell down, bless him. The vet will be unpeeling his bandages and fitting the boots whilst my husband gets to work with the...

    Rare foal twins!

The fire burnt for 7 weeks. They were in livery for 8-9 weeks. The horses have only been brought home over the last couple of weeks. We still have a horrendous smell coming from the site and I have been afraid that when they bring in heavy machinery to move the burnt rubber about they will...
